Today on the program, I got to sit down and chat with Mr. Jason DeVoe from Authority Zero.
I had a blast chatting with Jason, and we think we hung out once a long time ago on tour…but we couldn’t pinpoint it.
Authority Zero has a killer new record that just dropped called “Ollie Ollie Oxen Free”. It is vying for my record of the year. I love it so much.
When I was visiting my in-laws last month…they don’t have Wifi and cell service is spotty, but they do have Sirius/XM radio…
One day I was hanging out and all of a sudden I was like, I know this song!…it was the new Authority Zero!
It was pretty awesome…I even texted Dalley their drummer and thanked him for brightening my day.
Jason and the boys also just announced a north American tour…make sure to get out to a show if you can!

On all the regular music streaming platforms, YouTube, Much Music, MTV, your local public library (*possibly), backstreet speak easies, that one cool record store your town had that actually closed a year ago but you didn’t notice because no one goes out and buys music any more they just talk about how much they support it, blasting from all your idols, heroes, mentors and gods driving your dream car giving you the finger as they cut you off, several copies have been sent out into other galaxies( -prove it didn’t happen..), greeting cards no one knows what to do with after they’ve been given because they look expensive, Napster, limewire, Myspace, independently run angelfire and geocities fan pages, rare import bootlegs, dark ally dive bars, the BBC, CBC, FOX News, boats, hostage negotiation loud speakers, build-a-bears, barn yards, backyards coast to coast across this beautiful nation you call “____”, malls, anywhere the cool kids who are in the “know” are….

Basically, if you haven’t been listening to and following Fire Sale you’ve been living under a rock (not the cool kind) and mustn’t have any friends…..which is sad although just another reason to go check them out now. Then you’ll have something to talk about once you find (*abduct) some.
Worst case scenario, it’s the perfect soundtrack to crying yourself to sleep in the dark alone because no one cares about your feelings.,
