Episode 161 - That One Time On Tour w/ Howard Jones (Light The Torch) TOTOT Podcast

Today on the program, I got to sit down and chat with one of my favorite metal/hard rock vocalists, Mr. Howard Jones of Light The Torch and formerly of Killswitch Engage.

Light The Torch has a brand new album dropping tomorrow June 25th called “You Will Be The Death Of Me” and it is awesome. I have been a fan of Howard’s for years.

I remember when Killswitch released “The End Of Heart Ache”…I was working a shitty job between tours cleaning banks after hours. I listened to that album on repeat in my discman while emptying trash and dusting. It made the job tolerable.

It was so great getting to chat with Howard, I kind of wish I had told him that story now that I think of it. This episode is a good one, and you are seriously going to love it.

Their new single, "Dark Hearts" is currently available everywhere….
On all the regular music streaming platforms, YouTube, Much Music, MTV, your local public library (*possibly), backstreet speak easies, that one cool record store your town had that actually closed a year ago but you didn’t notice because no one goes out and buys music any more they just talk about how much they support it, blasting from all your idols, heroes, mentors and gods driving your dream car giving you the finger as they cut you off, several copies have been sent out into other galaxies( -prove it didn’t happen..), greeting cards no one knows what to do with after they’ve been given because they look expensive, Napster, limewire, Myspace, independently run angelfire and geocities fan pages, rare import bootlegs, dark ally dive bars, the BBC, CBC, FOX News, boats, hostage negotiation loud speakers, build-a-bears, barn yards, backyards coast to coast across this beautiful nation you call “____”, malls, anywhere the cool kids who are in the “know” are….

Basically, if you haven’t been listening to and following Fire Sale you’ve been living under a rock (not the cool kind) and mustn’t have any friends…..which is sad although just another reason to go check them out now. Then you’ll have something to talk about once you find (*abduct) some.

Worst case scenario, it’s the perfect soundtrack to crying yourself to sleep in the dark alone because no one cares about your feelings.,

And how about Chris's old bands on Spotify…
